Ides of March--Beware the Word
On March 15, 2002 the Ides of Month
was introduced in a successful
evening of poetry, performance, and
music. Our first event was kindly
hosted by
Elastic Revolution Productions,
whose church-gone-performance space provided the
perfect level of intimacy.
The lineup
included reading and adaptation of poetry by Ian Chipman and Ben Hamman,
featuring performances by Andy Fife, Carissa Johnson, Mandi
Michalski, and Laura Forbes.
Paintings were created on stage by Eric May and Ben Siemens, and
all was stitched together with a 1940's
radio drama by poet Kenneth
Patchen, directed by Tom Arvetis, and
performed by members of
Barrel of Monkeys.
