Knowledge has been passed down for revisions as little more than mere gossip in an oral culture of gossip and verse;
history shaped and reshaped by those who told and recited history into memory.
Inaccuracy and implicit but unacknowledged ass-covering blurred meanings, so that
the histories of the Bards might be used for some petty neophyte's own cynical divinity. Perverted, in that
fashion, for the aggrandizement of some jackass for whom you, dear seeker of wisdom, probably voted.
Here, instead, is a subjective account written entirely in arbitrary numbers:

Notes on Lore Rating: Bard lore bases it's rating on an absolute scale of overall protection
(thus a 'pretty good' for a ring offers the same protection as a 'pretty good' for a main armour). This
makes it differentiated from Juggernaut analyze, which changes scale according to the type of armor
(though juggs get a 15 tier scale). Lore
has an 8 tiered scale (none or 0 to 7 or 'utterly BS'), with fine granularity on the lower end and
less granularity on the top. The primary difference distinguished by our "expert" staff
between Necromancer and Bard analysis is that Necros get much greater detail on the upper end
of the scale, with 2 or 3 different ratings for AC that a Bard would judge to be "Utterly BS"
(for instance Icodelies Armour
rates as utterly bs for edged and crushing, where necros consider the slots as
5 and 6 respectively on a scale
of 8). That is to say, they're a lot more fanatic
about the quality of their armor - something we can only assume derives from their sucky tanking and
the Werewolf's mythical ability to judge the quality of goods and services in their bloody, rampaging
orgies of lycanthropic destruction. Such abilities truly are the stuff of legends.
